Add-ins run inside of Microsoft Office applications. You need to have licensed Office software already available to use any of our add-ins. Office software is not provided by ContextNext UG. If you are using add-ins that were loaded from a public catalog, like AppSource, then there is no Service Level or Support commitment. These add-ins, even the Premium Subscription features, are offered as-as and come with no warranties of any kind. The add-ins could be "down" or unavailable at any given time for a variety of reasons.
*In the 12+ months that the free CTX Text services have been online, there has been zero downtime- but this is not a promise.* Behavior in the add-ins could change at any time when we decide to update them or to add or take-away features. We will not change premium subscription features without notice other than in the case of bug fixes. If special requests are made to revise premium features, these will be added as new functions under existing subscriptions. For example, the Backlog for CTX Text describes a new feature to compare text in lists. When this feature is complete it will simply appear as a new function available to paid subscribers, not as an "extra premium" feature or something requiring additional payment.
Support is always available through email on this page. There is no Support response target. We will address issues as quickly as we can but there is no guaranty of resolution. If you would like to have guaranties, access to the source code (for review or to deploy private instances), or Service Level Agreements of any kind- please reach out directly to discuss your needs. We are small and are happy to provide additional terms of service on a case-by-case basis.
Frequently asked questions
How does a Subscription Work? You can order a subscription from the Buy/Subscribe page. Our payment provider will manage the transaction with applicable taxes in your region, and will notify us of your purchase. A license key will be generated and displayed at the time of purchase.
How long is the key valid? Keys are automatically generated at the time of purchase for 1 year + 1 day to create a buffer for renewal and to be certain that you can effectively use the key for a full year.
How do I use a License Key? Keys are easy to use. After you receive your key (if you have not received a key 5 minutes after placing your order, please contact us) copy it, and open the Task Pane of CTX Text. Click the first menu item, "Add or Buy a License", then paste the key in the box then click "Submit". If the key is valid, an expiration date should appear below the box. *Note* The key is sent to our service for validation. You must be online for this to function. There is a an example with pictures on our Blog.
If you copy/paste the key and the page says that the key is invalid, check that you copied the exact key and did not miss any characters or accidentally include extra ones.
